Max Glubochansky, a cofounder of Careerist was working in QA at Apple when a friend of his visited one day with the idea of creating a start up.
The idea was born many years after they had helped friends and acquaintances break into the IT field, and find jobs in top companies like Apple, Intel, Google, and Facebook (now Meta).
Their plan was a challenging balancing act.
They wanted their students to get real work experience during their studies, and one of the big challenges for them was to create an immersive internship that passes along the experience of working on real projects.
At the same time, they were aware of the need to not overwhelm their students with it, as most of them have no experience working in tech.
The company was founded in 2019, and after an $8 million seed raising it now has about 300 people working across 37 different countries.

Course Report is another and is probably a harder marker than Trust Pilot or Sitejabber as it is more focused on education. The other two cover multiple industries.
There were 295 reviews on Course Report with an average ⭐rating of 4:6. So Careerists rating is consistent with those at Trust Pilot and Sitejabber.
