Unearthing the truth behind Kannaway’s MLM program

Searching for an unfiltered Kannaway MLM review? Read on to find out if their CBD MLM program is a legit way of making money or if it’s a well-plotted scam.

As I searched through the MLM opportunity playground, Kannaway is one of many barefootaffiliate MLM reviews.

So what makes Kannaway stand out from the competition? And more importantly, should you join them?

If you’re looking for an additional income stream, signing up to Kannaway’s CBD MLM program could be the answer you are looking for. Or maybe it is not worth the effort.

In this Kannaway review, we’re going to dissect Kannaway and see if their CBD MLM scheme is worth your while or if it’s (yet again), another MLM scam.

  • Product Name: Kannaway
  • Price: $54.98 annual fee + packages
  • Founders: Christopher Hussey and Jeff Rogers
  • Product type: MLM (hemp and CBD products)
  • Overall Ranking: —————– 3 / 10.

What is Kannaway MLM About?

Dedicated to promoting beauty and health products made of hemp and CBD, Kannaway was the first company in the United States to distribute cannabis products in a safe and legal way.

Since its inception in 2014, the company has been a strong advocate for the benefits of hemp and CBD – whether they’re in the form of pills, creams or oils.

Within the first year of business, Kannaway raked in $1 million in sales and attracted more than 70’000 members. Above all, however, it helped to educate society about the medical and cosmetic benefits associated with hemp and CBD.

Their fast-growing reputation, and rave Kannaway salve reviews, soon caught the eye of bigger companies, and in 2015, the leading hemp manufacturer Medical Marijuana Inc. bought Kannaway for an undisclosed amount of money.

At the time, experts estimated Kannaway to be worth $119.6-242.7 million USD.

Today, they operate on an international scale following an MLM structure (multi-level marketing ), thus, Kannaway relies on recruiting people to sell their products.

People who sign up to Kannaway for $54.98 per year and buy enough products to keep them at specific commission levels, earn money by selling products and recruiting other people to sell Kannaway products under them. More on this below.

This cycle continues and those who are at the top of the downline tend to make significantly more money than those further down the list. As mentioned Here.

Whether or not the CBD “gold rush” is still a viable option to take advantage of is debatable. MLMs rely on hype at the product launch and hope that they generate enough momentum to carry the product across future years.

Kannaway product range

From nutrition to medical and personal care, Kannaway has an extensive line of hemp and CBD products that cater to every need.

To give you an idea, these are their product categories:

  • CBC products
  • CBG products
  • Pet products
  • Nutrition
  • Personal care
  • Bundles
  • Essential oils
  • Lifestyle

Before we continue our Kannaway review, a quick note about their products:

Kannaway’s products cost between a couple to a few hundred dollars and, among other things, help to:

  • Release pain
  • Reduce anxiety
  • Treat acne

Their products have excellent reviews, and, if you want to join their hemp and CBD MLM program, you can sign up as a Kannaway Brand Ambassador.

Becoming a Brand Ambassador

To join Kannaway and become a Brand Ambassador, there are two requirements:

  1. Pay an annual membership fee of $54.98.
  2. Maintain the minimum monthly Personal Volume (PV) required for your rank – either through customer sales or personal orders.

You earn commissions every time you make a sale and every time a person you recruit makes a sale (you don’t earn commission by recruiting new members).

Kannaway Compensation Plan

Their motto “Everything we do has one thing in mind. You.” Is certainly not true when it comes to their compensation plan.

It’s at this point in our Kannaway MLM review that we come across a few issues.

At first, their website seems pretty forthcoming with information about their compensation plan, but upon closer inspection, it’s hard to make sense of it all.

Between terms and conditions, rewards, confusing terminology and whatnot, it’s hard to tell what you’re entitled to!

You can try to get some sense out of it for yourself here

The Pros

The company has a large and established loyal customer base with many people who represent the brand.

As a Brand Ambassador, you know you’re joining a reputable CBD MLM company that sells quality products.

The Cons

Kannway and associated companies photo in the blog post. Kannaway MLM Review. Is Kannaway a CBD MLM Scam?
Kannaway is actually owned by Medical Marijuana,

First off, Kannaway’s products are expensive. In fact, some products can cost up to 50% more than any other hemp and CBD shop! Some of the products it competes against are actually products made by its parent company Medical Marijuana Inc., marketed under the name of HempMeds, which are sold at a big discount to Hannaway-labelled products.

Secondly, over the past few years, the hemp and CBD market has become very saturated. For a Brand Ambassador, it’s a real struggle to find customers willing to pay extra cash for products they can get at a lower price elsewhere.

Thirdly, hemp and CBD still raise a few eyebrows from anti-cannabis people. So if you want to make a sale and recruit new members, you have to move in the right circles of people who are not opposed to the use of hemp and CBD.

Lastly, as with most MLM companies, Kannaway has a complicated compensation plan. So much so, that it’s hard to know if what you’re being paid is correct.

Kannaway MLM Review – Conclusion

Kannaway is not a scam, but joining their CBD MLM program is far from being a smart business move.

The truth is that, like for most people, you’re not going to hit the jackpot by joining Kannaway MLM. If anything, you’re more likely to lose more money than you’re ever going to make.

Bottom line: although Kannaway is not a scam, and it doesn’t make it to our 7 worst MLM’s, however, I there are a lot of better opportunities available.

Thanks for reading.

  1. Hi. The internet is a dangerous area nowadays, there are many scams one needs to avoid. I love it when I find articles like this on the web, mainly because i’m an affiliate marketer myself and, I am interested in learning about all sorts of programs, newer and older online. Very helpful and thorough, thank you

  2. Hey there. My 2 cents worth here. Kannaway is a terrible business to join. It requires more perseverance than a normal job (effort = payment). There is a negative perception of low income inside the company (this discourages members of this MLM). And you end up building your customer base without support from the company.
