I like to say physical creativity. Hobbies and crafts are a way for people to express their creativity and create something unique for their family or sell.  Often it leads to a side hustle or something bigger.

It is my background, I am still a working builder, and throughout the years I have tried my hand at making different items from timber.

The mix of my friends include people whose profession is more office based than creative.

Not only men, women too. The Physical Creative is a large and varied field, Ideas coming to fruition creating all sorts of useful and beautiful things.

Although you may start with something from here, along the way you will no doubt find ways to add your own unique touch to them.

I find it fascinating.

A carpenter I know, or thought I knew (everyone has a secret), is now a lecturer in Sculpture at a University.

A school teacher I did some work for,  makes very good 12 ft timber sailing dinghies for the local sailing club.

An electrician, a keen rock hound, eventually he and his wife set up a successful Lapidary business.

So often we are pigeon holed into one career, never to change.

Others do it out of necessity. Most though just create something for the home or garden for their own personal pleasure.

Go to any weekend market and there are people using knowledge gained from outside their usual occupation.

Many have moved on from their usual occupation and built up successful businesses using this knowledge.

For many people it is not that they are “over” their jobs.

There is a creative urge that needs to be explored. For others it is extra income that provides a better standard of living.

For some it could be out of necessity, unemployed, or disabled, maybe a single parent.

THE GOAL OF SITE

Many of the things I list on here or talk about are not overly technical.

The skill is being able to follow a plan. How often have you seen something and wished you could make it yours?

Hopefully something in here will inspire you to have a go.

At the end of the day there is nothing more rewarding than looking back on your project and having a sense of pride in something well done.

I hope this site provides some value for you.

If you ever need a hand or have any questions, feel free to leave them below and I will be more than happy to help you out.

Until next time. All the best,

Michael.

P.S.

Do not be afraid to take on more responsibilities or projects.  The rewards are well worth the time spent and efforts you make.

If the projects and responsibilities seem to large to handle, break them down into smaller, more manageable parts.

Take things one step at a time and make a plan.  You will find that the burden will seem less, and the projects will meet completion times faster than you planned.

Whatever you want to achieve in your personal or professional life clicking the link below will open all the possibilities for you.

It won’t cost you anything.
